I am not familiar with doing bookkeeping for a real estate agent. Can you tell me if there are any special rules for this industry I should be aware of?

I work for a real estate appraiser. One thing I can tell you is that there isn't any GST charged by most land title companies. It's the same as insurance... no GST.
