Why Bookkeeping-Essentials.ca? Why now?

I published Bookkeeping-Essentials.com in 2009. In 2020, I retired from bookkeeping and now find I enjoy being retired so much I have not been spending the effort to maintain this website as I should.

As I'm not completely ready to give up this website, I am opting to transition all the Canadian compliance bookkeeping and tax information to its own Canadian site ... Bookkeeping-Essentials.ca. The remaining information left on Bookkeeping-Essentials.com will become solely about sharing my knowledge of good bookkeeping practices.

Bookkeeping-Essentials.ca will provide general and time sensitive compliance information that Canadian small business owners need to run their business effectively; and assist their often isolated work from home bookkeepers. This will make it easier to update time sensitive information going forward while removing or updating any out-of-date information on this site. There are over 700 pages on this site, so it's not a small task.

Watch for good compliance practice tips and pointers throughout 2024 as I get the new site up and running. I hope you will find my new sister site practical in nature as well as being a useful Canadian bookkeeping compliance resource.
