GST HST Collected Out of Province

I am a online seller so I sell Canada wide. Do I charge different tax rates depending on where the customer lives; and how do I report all that to Revenue Canada re HST or GST?

Hi Rina,
Yes the new place of supply rules introduced in May, 2010 means you now charge based on the location of your customer.
Take a moment to read
an overview of the rules for online sales.
Normally you track the sales tax by keeping your books up-to-date using a program like QuickBooks ... or an equivalent ... just like before.
If all this change just seems too overwhelming, you always have the option of taking your records to a bookkeeper. S/he will be able to track and report your GST/HST for you.
